Post-16 Courses
Sheffield Wednesday Community Programme offers an exciting football and education programme which aims to provide opportunities for potential students to develop and progress in their sporting careers.
The Football & Education Programme aims to provide like-minded and enthusiastic footballers across South Yorkshire with the opportunity to continue their football development as well as their academic studies.
All diplomas can be studied alongside the football development programme with clear education and employment pathways for our students. This is through comprehensive in-house education models and strong partnerships with local organisations. Each course will be delivered over a one or two year period and will follow a carefully sequenced pathway of units to provide students with a broad range of knowledge and experience whilst providing links to potential career pathways.
Students will receive a Course leader and Pastoral leader to ensure that all of their learning needs are met through their course. Upon induction, Pastoral leaders will work with students to create an individual learning plan (ILP) detailed with their academic plans for development.
