Talk Club Community Heroes!

Participants who attend the Owls community programme’s Talk Club sessions have been recognised as EFL Community Heroes as part of the Community Weekends campaign!

Taking place from Saturday 22nd February to Sunday 3rd March, the EFL’s Community Weekends aim to spotlight everyday heroes who demonstrate a commitment to helping and inspiring others, improving lives, and strengthening community cohesion across Sheffield.

Sheffield Wednesday FC Community Programme’s Talk Club session has been running for just over a year and has had a tremendous impact on the lives of those who attend.

One participant said: "I'm less anxious than I was, feel less lonely and less isolated. Made new pals to meet and chat to when feeling low. My self-worth is increasing each time I attend men's talk group." – Male participant, aged 56-65.
