Wednesday fans complete the 1867 Fitness Day challenge!

Wednesday the 20th of September was National Fitness Day, an annual day that promotes physical activity and encourages people to get active and healthy!

To mark the occasion, the SWFCCP health team held the 1867 challenge at their community gym at Jubilee Sports Club. The challenge was for participants to complete at least 1,867 (the year SWFC was founded) reps of 10 different exercises. In total the participants did over 20,000 reps together absolutely smashing their original goal.

"Sean Graves, SWFCCP Senior Health Officer said: "A massive well-done to everyone who took part in such a great day, everyone gave it their all, let's keep up the good work and we hope to see some new faces soon."

The SWFCCP health team also visited local primary schools across Sheffield, where they delivered healthy eating and fitness workshops, as well as gave out fresh fruit for the children to enjoy.
