SWFCCP Becomes Family Hubs Champion!

Sheffield Wednesday FC Community Programme is delighted to announce its partnership with Sheffield Family Hubs to offer postnatal support for families in Sheffield.

Sheffield's Family Hub and Start for Life Services are committed to enabling and supporting expectant parents, babies, children, and their families to have a great start in life by providing services as early as possible. They offer assistance and support to parents/carers of children aged 0-19, or up to 25 for those with special educational needs and disabilities.

SWFCCP will deliver new family support groups across the Hillsborough, Ecclesfield, and Richmond areas of Sheffield. The aim is to provide postnatal support for families through participant-voice-led activities that promote movement and educate families on sustaining a healthy lifestyle.

This will encompass weight management, early years fundamentals, and sensory activities. The sessions will include both parents and children and will focus on activities/learning that can be implemented at home and sustained for the future.

This initiative will also enable SWFCCP's community engagement staff to refer families to Sheffield's Family Hubs and other local family support services so they can continue to get the best support possible.
