Playzone Consultation update

Thank you all those who took part in the consultation and shared their views on the proposed development of a new PlayZone (multi-use games area) at Jubilee Sport Ground. Unfortunately, Jubilee Sports Club and Sheffield Wednesday FC Community Programme have mutually agreed not to proceed with the development of a PlayZone facility at this time.

Throughout 2023, Sheffield Wednesday Community Programme have been working alongside Jubilee Sports Club to explore potential development options for their community site with promising progress expected later in 2024. SWFCCP would like to thank Sheffield City Council for their support during the community engagement stage of the PlayZone programme, and will continue to work with Sheffield City Council on the development of the first proposed PlayZone site in Ecclesfield Park.

SWFCCP would like to thank all local residents who took the time to respond. Thanks to your input, we have learnt a lot about what local people would like to see more of from us, and will be working to implement changes to improve inclusivity and access across all of our community facilities over the coming months.
