What do you enjoy about the Premier League Kicks sessions?
“I love attending the sessions and helping out. I like that the staff trust me to referee the matches, and it has inspired me to maybe one day take a refereeing course. The staff are always friendly and welcoming, and that’s why I keep coming back.” – James.
“I’ve known James since July, when I started here at SWFCCP. James has attended the majority of our Chaucer and Parson Cross Kicks sessions during that time. When I first met James, he was very shy and timid, but he has always been helpful and willing to support staff and young people by refereeing games.
Over the past couple of months, James has really come out of his shell and gained a lot of confidence. This has been evident in the strong and positive relationships he has built with both staff and his peers. As a thank-you for James’s efforts, we’ve gifted him a set of refereeing cards and a whistle, hoping he continues to be inspired to referee.” – Claudio Almeida (Sports and Inclusion Coach/Youth Mentor)
