SWFCCP Kicks Off the Short Breaks Programme to Help Children with Disabilities!

Sheffield Wednesday FC Community Programme (SWFCCP) is delighted to announce they have received funding to deliver a wide range of provisions for children with disabilities.

Through a grant awarded by Sheffield Council, SWFCCP will run a variety of accessible sessions during the week and on the weekend. These sessions will offer a safe and supportive place for children with disabilities to connect with other children, receive support, and engage in various activities.

Outside of term time, SWFCCP will also hold holiday camps during all school holidays, providing continued support outside of the school environment.

The tailored nature of the programme will allow it to adapt to the needs of those who attend, with staff members who have significant experience engaging with young people.

Jack Larissey, SWFCCP Disability Lead, said: "We're thrilled to be able to offer these sessions to help SEND children. Not only can we provide the right environment for the children, but we can also provide parents with extra respite and time to themselves."
