SWFC Donate Boots to Support the Community!

Sheffield Wednesday FC, led by assistant coach Chris Powell, has donated over 35 pairs of football boots to the Owls’ Community Programme.

SWFCCP began collecting boots in April, and with the combined efforts of Sheffield Wednesday FC, local teams, and participants, over 80 pairs of pre-loved football boots have now been gathered.

These boots were then generously cleaned by Cif as part of the Re-Kicks campaign before being returned to SWFCCP, who have since been awarding them to stand-out participants at their youth sessions.

Paul Hebda, Youth and Inclusion Manager at SWFCCP, said: "This excellent initiative has really helped us transform young lives, offering fantastic boots that young people wouldn’t have otherwise been able to get."

Some of the boots have already been awarded to participants who have worked the hardest, and they’ve had an incredible impact, boosting confidence and inspiring more young people.

SWFCCP still has plenty of boots to donate over the coming months. If your child attends one of SWFCCP's sessions, they might be the next lucky recipient of a fantastic pair of boots.
