Wednesday Btec Student Goes International

Following Aidan Nagi’s ECFA journey, a 2nd year student at Sheffield Wednesday Education Centre studying a BTEC in Football Development with The Sheffield College.

After qualifying back in the 2017 trials, Nagi has now been selected to be part of the squad that will travel to Italy for the Roma Caput Mundi Tournamount.

Representing AoC Sport, English Colleges FA, Future Elite Sports and England as a Country.

The team are scheduled to depart from Heathrow (London) at 16:00 on Saturday 17 February 2018 arriving at Fiumicino (Rome) at 19:35. Returning on Friday 23rd February 2018.

Nagi has shown extreme talent and dedication in professional football, and being part of the ECFA team is a huge honour.

The ECFA have stated they look and feel confident about their trip to Italy. It will be an experience to remember.

As well as being a high intensity tournament, players will be exposed to levels of media interest that they would otherwise be unaccustomed to.

The trip will be the first of many high-profile events and international sporting tournaments for Aidan, learning what it means to play for England; Pride, Honour, Passion, Success, Identity and Belief.

We will be posting updates/results of the match on the Sheffield Wednesday Community Twitter page.
