For EFL Week of Action, this Wednesday our Premier League Kicks team
partnered with Places for People Living Plus to engage young people and families with positive activities.

Susan Lowry, from Places for People, said:
“Working closely with the SWFCC Inclusion team has brought a wealth of activities for the children at our project, Some of our families have had to flee where they have previously lived and do not know anyone in the area, being able to participate in activities has given our families an opportunity to make new friends and build on relationships with other parents, the children have had an opportunity to play in a “SAFE” space and just have fun 😊”

Ruth Stables, from EFL Trust, said:
“It was really rewarding to see the session in action and it’s clear that you (SWFCCP) are providing some really important provisions to some very vulnerable families. It’s great that you and they have a safe space to go to which brings that community together and it was lovely to see the families integrating with one another, sharing personal stories and seeing the children play.

SWFCCP staff played a big part in facilitating this, spreading their time equally amongst the group and using their characters to build an instant rapport with those in attendance to engage them in the various activities on offer. I also loved how Paul opened up the options for next week’s activities – asking the children what they wanted bringing going forward. A great example of putting people at the heart of what we do.”
