Sheffield Wednesday Community Programme have joined forces with Bite Back 2030, in a bid to help every young child have access to healthy food.
The partnership will see SWFCCP receive £15,000 in funding to help deliver crucial social action projects on the benefits of healthy eating to local children.
Ben Winter, SWFCCP Operations manager, said: “We are really excited to build on our partnership with UK Youth, as well as the theme of youth social action and empowerment. In the face of the current economic climate, it’s even more important to provide young people with the skills and knowledge to not only support themselves but also the people in their communities. Thank you to UK Youth for approving our proposal to reach so many young people and we look forward to seeing the impact that will be achieved”
SWFCCP has been announced as just one of 100 local delivery partners for Bite Back 2030’s Community Food Champions campaign.
Bite Back 2030 launched the School Food Champions programme in September 2021 and helps young people from 50 schools across the country.
The programme aims to achieve a world in which all young people have the opportunity to be healthy, no matter where they live.
