Owls BTEC Student Discovered By England Squad

Huge accomplishment for Aidan Nagi, a 2nd year student at Sheffield Wednesday Education Centre studying a BTEC in Football Development with The Sheffield College.

Nagi (17) has been competing in trials over the past month for the England Colleges National Men’s Team.

The final phase of high quality trials at Sheffield Hallam University, last Sunday, resulted in the SWFCCP student becoming one of 24 players in the elite England squad.

His training will start on Wednesday 13th December followed by a game against the Independent Schools FA on the 14th December.

Aidan Nagi expressed, ”I’m proud to represent the England Colleges and hope this will be a major step to forwarding my footballing career.”

Aidan also went on to praise the Football Development BTEC course, saying all the teachers and coaches have been very supportive in both his academic and football pathways.

The Sheffield Wednesday Education Centre, in partnership with The Sheffield College, are now recruiting for 2018 courses – to find out more go to the website.
