On the new SWFC Traineeship, in partnership with the EFL, you can learn new skills and get free training that will improve your future prospects.

You’ll gain high quality work experience in range of potential careers such as business administration, coaching, hospitality, spectator safety and retail.

Thanks to traineeships thousands of young people throughout the country have got their careers off to a flying start or got their dream job.

Sheffield Wednesday’s education department are introducing two brand new traineeship schemes. They are available to those who are:

  • Aged between 19-24 years old
  • Not currently holding a qualification at Level 3 or above
  • Not currently in employment (over 16 hours), education or training

The two courses are:

Spectator Safety Programme (NVQ Level 2 in Spectator Safety)
13-week course
100 hours week placement
Qualifications include:
NVQ Level 2 in Spectator Safety
Health and Safety Level 1
Customer Service Level 1
Functional skills

Customer Service and Hospitality (Level 2 Food Safety in Catering)
13-week course
100 hours week placement
Qualifications include:
Level 2 Food Safety in Catering
Health and Safety Level 1
Customer Service Level 1
Functional skills
