What is NCS?

NCS is a once-in-a-lifetime experience for every 15-17 year old in England. You’ll make new friends, experience new activities and learn new skills whilst challenging yourself and contributing to the local community.

NCS is your chance to develop new skills that will help you get ahead in life. The programme can help you grow in confidence, develop teamwork and leadership skills, you’ll also meet new people and make friends for life.

NCS will look great on your CV; it helps demonstrate your confidence, teamwork and leadership skills which are what employers say they are increasingly looking for. NCS is recognised by UCAS, so if university is your target, this programme will help you deliver a killer personal statement.

NCS is the perfect way to make new friends and learn how to work with people from all different backgrounds. You spend time bonding over outdoor activities before working with your new found friends to deliver a community action project.

NCS is growing, with a national network of more than 70,000 graduates; you have the chance to be part of something special. Once you graduate you become part of the graduate programme where you’ll get access to exclusive NCS events and experiences.
