Sheffield Wednesday Community Programme young people of NCS presents £768 cheque to Hakeem Pickering-Smith and his family at the Bristol City match.
In December 2016, 16 year-old student Hakeem Pickering-Smith from The Forge Valley School, was sadly in a traffic accident in Hillsborough.
As part of 2017’s Summer social action project, one of the NCS teams at the Community Programme chose to raise money for Hakeem and his family, who is still in rehabilitation.
Before the game on Saturday 18th November, Hakeem went pitch side to meet some of the Sheffield Wednesday first team players, as well as the young people who helped raise the £768.
Pictured below is Hakeem giving Adam Reach his Player of the Month trophy for October, and Gary Hooper his Player of the Month trophy for September.
We wish to continue to support Hakeem and his family and hope the donation will make a difference.
