NCS Goes Neon for Charity

Sheffield Wednesday Community Programme are organising a Neon themed Night Time Charity Walk as part of the Social Action activity for this years NCS participants.

The ‘Neon Nightline’ event will take place on Friday 16th March, starting at 10pm and approximately finishing at 5am 17th March.

The Start and End location will be the SWFC Training Ground and will include a 9 mile walk around Sheffield – highly supervised by NCS and Wednesday staff.

The walk will begin from the Training Ground, then head pass the Stadium onto Penistone road. From there the group will head down Penistone road and up to the University roundabout – heading up and around Weston park and then back down.

Finishing off walking into town over Hanover way to Eyre street where the charity ‘DePaul Safe at last’ is based. On arrival there will be refreshments.

The same route will then be taken to return to the Training Ground.

The event is to encourage the NCS young people to raise money as part of their own progress in the course, however anyone can join the walk, fund money or donate items to the charity.

All donations can be made at the ‘Donation-Drop’ at the Sheffield Wednesday Training Ground (Middlewood Road) between 10pm and 11pm on the night of the walk.

Don’t forget to dress with as much Neon as you possibly can!

The entry fee of £5, plus all donations and money raised will be given directly to the DePaul ‘Safe at Last’ Charity which supports children and young people who are at risk of harm before, during and after running away.
