Over the October half term holidays, SWFCCP and the KICKS team partnered up with The Real Junk Food, to run some Mulit-Sports and Holiday Hunger Camps across Sheffield, to help tackle young people from going hungry during school holidays whilst also providing additional activities for the young people. The locations that SWFCCP delivered in, were the Lower Manor and Winn Gardens areas.
Paul Hebda, the KICKS Coordinator for SWFCCP said, “We have built a great relationship up with the young people in the Manor and Winn Gardens areas, from the session we run during the week. The young people are extremely appreciative of the work we do and deliver, and any additional activities we can provide, they [the young people] love it.” “It was great working with The Real Junk Food Project, and the young people loved the sandwiches and snacks as part of the session, and we hope we can keep the partnership work with them going forward.”
SWFCCP deliver sessions in the Lower Manor and Winn Gardens area on a weekly basis; Winn Gardens, Monday, 5-6pm | Lower Manor, Friday, 5-6:30pm
