We’re excited to announce that Places For People have provided funding enabling the Sheffield Wednesday Community PL Kicks project to be delivered to communities with high anti-social behaviour.

PL Kicks, which started in 2006, has a long history of using the power of football and the value of sports participation to help hard-to-reach youngsters in some of the most high-need areas.

By engaging youngsters in constructive activities, including a wide variety of sports, coaching, music and educational and personal development sessions, authorities have reported up to 50% reductions in anti-social behaviour in the areas in which it is delivered.

The partnership with Places For People will allow the SWFCCP to go into areas such as Manor, and provide free football and multi-sports activities to tackle crime in the community.
