The NCS team here at Sheffield Wednesday Community Programme have raised a massive £8,865.59 for several wonderful charities throughout the summer.

These include:

  • Safe @ Last
  • Park View
  • Hill Care
  • Macmillan
  • Epilepsy UK
  • Sheffield Churches Council
  • Children’s Hospital
  • Cavendish Cancer Care
  • Mind
  • Hakeem Pickering-Smith
  • SRSB
  • Thursday Club (Dementia Rest Bite)

Pictured above you can see the team marking the end of their 4 stage ‘wave’, over a two month period, with a congratulations from Sheffield Wednesday Players Jack Hunt and Adam Reach.

Such an impressive figure could only have been achieved with the help provided by the activity providers, the social action team, the SWFC leaders and the young people participating in this summer’s NCS programme.

Who all should be proud knowing their efforts and dedication will be making a real difference to local people’s lives.

NCS recruits of 2017 will be graduating on the 22nd September, accompanied by a vast new set of skills enriching their employability, confidence and value in the community.

The NCS team are looking forward to working with next years set of enthusiastic young people, more charities, and to beat this year’s grand total!
